
About Me
Milagros, a bilingual writer and translator, enjoys straddling her home cities of Tijuana, Mexico & San Diego, California. Daughter of a Spanish Civil War refugee, born in the US, she has worked as a Child & Family Counselor, Creative Advertising Director and Instructional Designer with major IT & medical firms. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing at SDSU and is a collaborator for Poetry International. She has three recently completed, unpublished chapbooks, Grendel in the Lake, The Nature of Unfinishidness, and Leaves Barely Showing, and is completing a bilingual manuscript about place. Her digital poem, “Border Waters” was exhibited in ICIDS 2024 (International Conference on Interactive Digital Storytelling) in Barranquilla, Columbia in 2024.
